At VVA, our mission is clear:

To discover the true voice of each singer and develop it to its maximum potential

To unleash each singer’s passion and joy for singing, and to help express it in a healthy vocal way 

To motivate and inspire each singer by providing a regular stream of performance opportunities wherever possible

To challenge each singer to achieve new levels in singing and performance

To respect and nurture each singer and his/her voice, knowing that singing is the most vulnerable and personal art form in existence.

AUDITIONS

Admission and registration are by audition. 

This is an opportunity to meet with Melina and establish a connection. Melina will hear you sing and assess your vocal level, range, ability and goals to determine what is the best fit and teaching method for you.

Please be prepared to sing one song in any style with piano-vocal accompaniment (you will supply the sheet music for Melina to accompany your song).

PERFORMANCES

VVA is a performance studio. Singers are always preparing for their next public performance. Each semester, VVA singers are given opportunities to perform in recitals, Cabaret evenings, festive galas, small concerts and year-end showcases in various venues and settings across town.

MASTER CLASSES

Each semester, students are given the opportunity to perform for selected, world-renowned, visiting masters in their musical fields for additional feedback and further musical and performance growth. Master Classes are announced in advance and take place on Saturdays and Sundays at VVA. Singers can choose to participate as performers or auditors.
